If you are a watch collector, you might have a favourite place when it comes to shopping for a new piece. You go there, maybe because you trust them that they will give the best price, maybe because you know that it’s the place to get the best advice, or the best service. The problem is that a dealer will probably carry a limited number of brands and even within these brands, he might not have all the models. What if you want a watch that your dealer doesn’t have?

Please welcome on the stage, OnlyVault!

With OnlyVault, watch dealers can access a database of inventories all over the country if they are looking for a specific watch. OnlyVault has created a community of watch dealers who can trade among themselves in a trusted environment.

OnlyVault is only offering the platform to search inventories – new and used watches. It’s a subscription based service and there are no charges for the transactions.

It all started as an idea of John Keil  and Kevin Nuss​.  John, a 15 year veteran in the high-end timepiece retail, realized that when a client is looking for a particular piece, it would take him a lot of time and effort to call around and try to find that exact watch. While Kevin is an experienced manager who spent several years at a large Wall Street firm and in the past year-and-a-half, they were busy building up this startup.

The website was launched three weeks ago and they have already signed up a good number of dealers.

At the time of writing this, OnlyVault is available only to US-based retailers/dealers, however, they plan on expanding to Canada very soon, and eventually go worldwide.
