The independent German watchmaker announced the introduction of a smaller version of the gold Lambda. The first Lambda introduced in 2013, measuring 42 mm, has since gained many fans and awards and with the new 39 mm version, Nomos is following the new trend of watches with more vintage dimensions. For sure, by introducing these new models, the Lambda 39 will also end up on the wrist of ladies that appreciate hand-wound watches with a sleek design.

Nomos unveiled three versions of the Lambda 39: gold pated hands or tempered blue hands, and the entirely new Lambda 39 black velvet with dark dial and gold plated hands.

The delicate 18k rose gold case is accompanied by a domed crystal that covers the minimalist dial, dominated by the power reserve indicator.

The Lambda 39 is powered by 29 jewel DUW 1001 (DUW stands for NOMOS Glashütte Deutsche Uhrenwerke) hand-wound caliber with 84 hours of power reserve – the same movement as in the Lambda 42.

The Lambda 39 will retail for $17,000.

Nomos comes to America

While since its short history, Nomos has gained many fans all over the world, its most important market is still Germany. But the love and the growing demand coming from North America did not passed unnoticed at Nomos decided to open an office in Midtown Manhattan. This way they will be able to offer an even better service to their American customers and hopefully Canadians too will have a chance to benefit from the proximity of the new office.
