The 2015 TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M collection

TAG Heuer Aquaracer (41 mm) Calibre 5

TAG Heuer Aquaracer (41 mm) Calibre 5. MSRP $2,550 USD on steel bracelet and $2,400 USD on nylon strap.

This week, TAG Heuer unveiled their latest updated of the Aquaracer 300M collection with several models using the three hands and date, Calibre 5, and four new versions of the Calibre 16 chronograph. The main novelty is the use of a high contrast and scratch resistant ceramic bezel, as opposed to brushed steel.

Apart the bezel, a closer inspection will reveal updates to the hands and applied indexes too. They are a lot bolder than on the earlier version. Here are two Aquaracer 300M chronograph, so that you can see the differences:

Two versions of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M (43 mm) Calibre 16 chronograph.

As you can see, the one with ceramic bezel (Ref. CAY211A.BA0927) got a loupe over the date window, there is no white border around the date, and the 300M inscription at six o’clock is printed in colour. The bracelet too is fully brushed.
