OMEGA Seamaster 300M James Bond in Platinum-Gold
No Time to Die, the next 007 adventure was originally scheduled to hit the screens in November 2019, but it was rescheduled to April 2020, then as well all know the world got overwhelmed by the pandemic, and suddenly not only James Bond but the rest of us too had no time to die. The new release date is scheduled for November, first in the UK and about a week later in North America. All this delay won’t take away the excitement of many of us, Bond fans, it will be probably the first movie I will watch wearing a mask and I’m looking forward to it.
Last year, to mark the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), Omega unveiled a very cool limited edition Seamaster Diver 300M loaded with 007 design cues. Now, Omega is lifting the same model to a whole new level, dressing it in a 42 mm case, crafted in platinum-gold, with a platinum-gold plate on its side, engraved with each Numbered Edition number. The same noble material is also used for the polished-brushed buckle of the watch’s black leather strap.
Just as last year’s model, it comes with a neat Easter Egg, the number 50 appears inside the 10 o’clock index when the lume is active in the dark. While I could not find a picture of the new Numbered Edition, here is one from last year.
Some other interesting features of this model includes the black ceramic bezel ring with a platinum diving scale in positive relief, as well as a black enamel dial, which has been given a spiralling gun barrel design in 18K white gold.
The sapphire crystal caseback is decorated with Bond family coat-of-arms, which has been laser-engraved and filled with platinum. Behind the coat-of-arms, you get a glance at the METAS-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8807 – resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, automatic winding in both directions. Special luxury finish with 18K
Sedna™ gold rotor and balance bridge. Geneva waves in arabesque. Can it get any better?
The Omega Seamaster 300M James Bond Numbered Edition is presented in its own Globe-Trotter™ suitcase, bound by NATO-inspired straps. Inside, an additional black rubber strap is included.
This high-end Seamaster retails for $67,700 Canadian and it is available exclusively at the OMEGA Boutique.
