TimeCaptain’s perspective
I was asked, recently, if I am in the “watch” industry. No. I’m not. I am just a blogger. I don’t sell watches for a living and I really don’t have any connection to the industry, per se. I have a full-time job and watches (timepieces) are just a hobby for me. Well, it’s more of an obsession.
My goal, in blogging, is simply to share my passion and learn. Every day, I learn something new about my passion and by writing about it, I learn even more. Each time I write a blog, I read some references or talk to experts and I expand my knowledge. The more I learn, the more I enjoy the world of timepieces.
By blogging, I also hope to reach someone and infect them with the same sickness as mine — this crazy obsession with timepieces. I’m also trying to explain to people why I have this obsession — why timepieces are so important to me. I want to encourage people to put some thought into their timepiece selection.
I also want to promote WatchPaper. The guys in charge of WatchPaper are great guys and I would like to contribute, in my own small way, to their success. I think WatchPaper has a bright future.
So you see, my blog is all about passion and intersest. When you read my blog posts, I want you to see watches through the eyes of an addict — a hopelessly passionate collector of fine timepieces. A fellow blogger advised me to stay honest and I’ll definitely do that, although I’m a very positive guy by nature. If you have some down time this weekend, browse WatchPaper and check out my blogs. But be careful- it could be expensive as you get the urge to shop for a serious timepiece.
Yours truly,
TimeCaptain
