The new Omega Seamaster 300 with black dial

The iconic Seamaster 300, was first introduced by OMEGA in 1957, as a watch specifically designed for divers. More than half a century later, OMEGA launched an updated Seamaster 300, an unmistakable heir of the original model.

Like its historic predecessor, the new Seamaster 300 features a symmetrical case and lugs as well as a dark dial, lighter indexes and big hands and numbers for easier reading in various lighting conditions.

If the first Seamaster 300 was 39 mm, the new model is 41 mm and it is available in different combinations of stainless steel, titanium or gold. The unidirectional rotating bezels of the full titanium and stainless steel models are enhanced with a Liquidmetal® diving scale while the golden and bi-colour models have a diving scale made with OMEGA Ceragold™.

The brushed screw-in caseback is engraved with “Si14”, “Liquidmetal®” or “Omega Ceragold™”, and “ANTI-MAGNETIC > 15’000 GAUSS”.

The Seamaster 300 is available with either a sand-blasted blue or black dial decorated with recessed hour markers that are filled with a “vintage” Super-LumiNova. The hour and seconds hands and indexes emit a blue light while a green light is emitted from the minute hand and dot on the bezel. The hands are crafted from 18K Sedna™ gold, 18K white gold or are rhodium-plated, depending on the case material. A white varnished central seconds hand equips the stainless steel and titanium models.

The new Seamaster 300 comes with OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin bracelet crafted from the same material as the case, featuring a newly developed foldover rack-and-pusher clasp, which is adjustable to six different positions.

It can be adjusted to six positions over 9.60 mm by releasing the clasp, pressing the “push” button and sliding the inner clasp to the desired fit.

The list of novelties that come with the 2014 Seamaster 300, won’t stop at the surface. Beating inside, we’ll find the brand new OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibres 8400, or 8401, both featuring OMEGA’s anti-magnetic technology, protecting the watch against magnetic fields as strong as, or even exceeding 15,000 gauss.
