To be frank, I’m not a big fan of diamonds on watches for men. Probably it’s my background; I find them to be too conspicuous, a rather cheeky way of displaying wealth. Yet, I’m going to contradict myself, because I consider the Grieb & Benzinger Pharos Centurion Imperial a masterpiece of luxury watch design.

The 66 black Princess-cut diamonds, decorating the pavé-set bezel, create a perfect harmony with the guilloche black dial, a composition of three circles: the small-second at six o’clock, the central hour dial using Arabic numbers and all-circumscribing minute dial with the minimalist white dot indexes.

The color of the diamonds and their shape is all about remaining discreet, adding to the sophistication of this pieces.

The 43 mm blackened PD950 palladium case is completed with a matching black alligator strap.

The price tag of the Pharos Centurion Imperial is in the six figures.
